The early detection of dental decay, using dental lasers. Decay detection includes several observation techniques including a complete set of dental x-rays, laser detection of decay following detailed spray style cleaning, intraoral photography, magnification and transillumination.  Micro cleaning and laser detection of decay are hallmarks of early diagnosis of decay, when treatment is more succesful, more comfortable, more economical.  No one so far has been able to feel the laser at all.
